Political Parties
We all know the descriptors "Democrat" and "Republican" and "Political Party" but do we really understand them? Maybe you do, and that's great! If not that's okay, but you should probably read this run down on the basics of political parties.
What is a Political Party?-
A political party is an organized group who all support similar public policies.
Example- The Democratic party generally supports policies that will allow more government programs to help citizens.
What's their goal?-
Political parties want to elect officials who will best represent their beliefs.
People usually vote for the candidate who holds the beliefs as them, and usually the same party as them. Electing as many officials in the same party is important because they want more changes and power that will support them and their beliefs.

Question: Last year, President Trump and the Republicans passed tax cut legislation. What impacts has this had on different Americans? Use an image (graph, chart, etc.) to support your persuasive argument.
This graph shows the average benefit from the tax bill on the left and the percent change in after-tax income on the right. From this graph you can see that this tax cut legislation will cause people with a higher income to see the highest percentage of change.
Another trend I noticed was that the lower your income the lower the percentage of change. For example, for incomes that are less than 10 thousand there's a .1% and as income goes up so does their percentage, so the next bracket (10-20 thousand) has a .3% change and so on.
Lastly, I noticed a trend of who has the most change from the graph on the left to the one on the right. On the graph representing the average from the tax bill you can clearly see that the highest bracket is the more than 1 million. You could expect that this would also be the highest percent of change, however when you look the the graph with the percentage of change you see the 500,000 to 1 million has the highest percentage.
